Frame based workflow

Each cell holds a transparent sheet (animation cel). Cells are composed in vertical layers.

Each horizontal line represents a frame. Different layers for images, camera or sound are available. This makes editing an easy and flexible task.

Camera moves

Create camara moves by setting keyframes for animating parameters for X-pans, Y-pans, zooms, rotation, blur and opacity.

Editing the parameters can be achieved by changing values, or dragging the function curve, or the animated object directly with the mouse.

Slates

CTP allows to create and insert slates. Usually, slates are used at the beginning of a scene.

The slate contains various information about the scene and usually serves as a guide when the scene is archived on final media.

Import drawings

Import drawings using a scanner, or a webcam, or existing files.

Plenty of tools are available to explicitly prepare, edit and filter the raw materials while importing.

Onion Skinning

CTP supports onion skinning. Onion skinning is a term for a technique used in animated cartoons to see several frames at once.

This way, the animator can make decisions on how to create or change an image based on the previous image in the sequence.

Textured Fill

CTP Pro offers a quite nifty fill mode called Textured Fill.

What it will do is to fill a specific area with a user specified texture file, that can be any graphic or pattern you like.

Flip Book View

CTP allows you to preview your animation as flip book, showing a sequence of up to 25 frames.

This can be useful if you would like to do a frame by frame quick check without having to render anything.

You can quickly jump to a specific frame anytime by pointing and clicking on it with your mouse

NEWS: CTP Pro cartoon animation software version 5.5 released

CTP Pro 5.5 has a completely new video capture engine that offers greater compatibility with a wide range of webcams and increases stability and performance when importing images from a camera. The choice of resolution and compression is now based on the capabilities of the webcam. It is now also possible to integrate smartphone cameras via a wireless connection (requires the corresponding Windows software and app for Android or iOS).

CTP Pro 5.5 ships immediately. CTP Pro 5.5 is a free update for all CTP Pro 5.0 owners. For older CTP software affordable upgrades and crossgrades are available.
